2019 SCRA Biennial Conference

The Global Alliance partnered with the Society for Community Research and Action (SCRA; Division 27 of the American Psychological Association) to host the organization’s biennial conference at the University of Ottawa in Ontario, Canada, June 21-24, 2019. Attended by more than 600 people, the conference provided ample opportunity to learn and network.

We are grateful to SCRA for the opportunity to work together and look forward to building the partnership so that we better serve our memberships and to further our social justice missions. 

The Global Alliance again partnered with the Society for Community Research and Action (SCRA) and sponsored a track at SCRA’s Biennial in Chicago this June. We had a series of excellent presentations in our track and three addresses from our 2019 award winners. On Thursday evening, the Global Alliance held a reception to honor current and past award winners. 

President, Ryan Kilmer and Preside-Elect, Cynthia Taylor Handrup present our 2019 awards. Barbara Malak-Minkiewicz is our 2019 recipient of the Marion Langer award and Jillian Fish is our 2019 recipient of the Vera Paster award. Learn more about our award winners
