The Global Alliance embeds its work in principles of human rights and social justice and is committed to universal health coverage that includes prevention and treatment of mental health and addiction, and promotion of well-being. The Sustainable Development Agenda, which was adopted by world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly in 2015, universally applies the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to all. The aim for 2030, is that countries will mobilize efforts to “end all forms of poverty, fight inequalities and tackle climate change, while ensuring that no one is left behind.”
